"Golden years, gold whop whop whop"

This week has been full of flickers of golden leaves in the midst of winter's whiteness. Doesn't it seem to beckon toward Spring and the glow of Hope? I think it inspired me to crochet this cuff the other day. I modified CreativeYarn's sweet Lotus Flower cuff pattern a little bit. I used DMC Cotton Perle 5, with a 2.35 mm hook.

I must be taken with this color this season. I finished the scarf below this week. It's a simple, yet distinctive scarf that drapes nicely. Find it here: Claudia's scarf. The yarn is Knit Picks Essential Kettle-dyed, fingering weight. It's very soft against the skin.
