Fibrous Fields

I noticed that my fiber projects can look like landscapes or fields of some unknown crops when they are looked at from certain angles or close up.

What fibrous produce grows from these odd fields? The top photo is still a work in progress-it will become another pencil bag of worsted weight wools, using the Oxford Mini punchneedle.

The Crocus Bud Scarf from Webs, designed by Sharlene Boyce, in mohair and edged with seed beads.

The Finest Hops bag, designed by Annie Modesitt, from Interweave Crochet Magazine's Fall 2008 Issue.

And lastly, my first attempt at knitting, only possible thanks to the excellent help from my sister. I'm slowly making progress on my very own Almost Garter scarf, designed by Norah Gaughan.
